Jason Brady is a TV newsman and media personality known for pulling no punches when it comes to reporting on crime, violence and other sensational news items. But this very attitude draws him into a web of corruption and blackmail when he involves himself in reseaching a story on the debilitating effects the pollution from a chemical factory is having on a number of children in the Montreal slum district of St. Xavier. In his efforts to expose the unethical conduct of the corporation which allows the pollution to go unchecked, Brady finds himself frustrated at every turn.
